First things first.  An enormous “thank you” to all of you who have been beyond generous in supporting the MS cause.  I started the day with Amy today.  She was diagnosed with MS in 2004 and is doing fairly well.  She joined us on the way out of Kanab along with her children and grandchildren.  She was having trouble keeping up with the group, so I leant a hand … literally, pushing her up the hills.  It was the least I could do.  It is people like her that are keeping me pushing up the hills as my legs get more and more tired each day.

We got what we needed today.  Our tired legs, bodies, and brains needed something easy.  We have had a week of getting in late and not having a chance to recover.  Today we had a route that had significant downhill, a strong tailwind, and 2 strong riders to help us along the way.  We were able to get our 75 mile ride done in around 3 hours and 45 minutes and got to the hotel at 2 pm.  This is 4 hours earlier than our previous six days.  I now sit writing this as I do some much needed laundry.  Not too much to report today other than this part of the country is absolutely beautiful.  We made it into Arizona, so 1 week in and we have made it to 4 states.  We finished by crossing the Glen Canyon Bridge which looks over Lake Powell on one side and the beginning of the Grand Canyon on the other.

Thanks to all who keep reading my ramblings and sending great thoughts our way.  It is appreciated beyond what you probably think!  Now off to continue my domestic duties … laundry, bike cleaning, and Airstream reorganizati0n.

By the way, if you have not checked out, please do.  Go to the daily blog section and see what we have been up to.
